Advancing The Church's Mission
The Order of Saint Ephraim of Nea Makri is a group that serves and supports members of the Greater Saints Constantine and Helen Community who are active in a behavioral or chemical addiction, have relapsed from a behavioral or chemical addiction, are at risk of relapse due to severe stressors, or are at risk of developing behavioral or chemical dependencies. This group consists of our Brothers and Sisters within our Orthodox community who are dedicated to helping those in need of support, love, and direction. While this is not a rehabilitation group; it is a support group comprised of persons who have been personally affected and have firsthand knowledge of the struggle and destruction that addiction causes.
The purpose of our youth ministry is to ignite the love and passion our Greek Orthodox youth must have for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Our goal is to help our youth grow in their knowledge of Christ and to nurture their relationship with Him. The word of God will be the foundation of all that we do (2 Tim 4:1-2; James 1:22-24; Psalm 119; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; John 17:17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; Hebrews 4:12). The Holy Spirit uses the Bible to transform lives and to remind us of the centrality and power of scripture. Additionally, when our youth are engaged they inherit the responsibility of growing and sustaining the overall ministry.
